Mu Delta Alpha was founded in 2014 at Texas Woman’s University, making history as the first multicultural professional Muslim sorority in the United States.

What began with a bold vision and one pioneering chapter has grown into a nationally recognized organization. Today, Mu Delta Alpha includes undergraduate chapters across the country and a graduate chapter, Alpha Mu.

Our mission is to create a space where Muslim women — especially first-generation, Black, and multicultural women — can build community, develop leadership, and find lasting sisterhood grounded in faith and purpose.

Mu Delta Alpha is a proud member of the National Multicultural Greek Council (NMGC) and continues to expand with intention, integrity, and legacy.
