Anti-Hazing Policy
Mu Delta Alpha Sorority, Inc.™ is committed to maintaining an environment that promotes mutual respect, inclusivity, and personal growth. Hazing is incompatible with our mission, and we will continue to uphold policies that protect the dignity and well-being of all members and affiliates.
Commitment
- Any member, officer, or chapter found to be engaging in or condoning hazing will face immediate disciplinary action, including potential suspension or permanent removal from the Sorority.
- Chapters involved in hazing activities may face sanctions, including suspension of their charter.
- Violations must be reported immediately to the National Office via compliance@mudeltaalpha.org. All reports will be investigated thoroughly, with confidentiality ensured for whistleblowers.
Enforcement and Accountability
To prevent hazing and promote awareness, Mu Delta Alpha Sorority, Inc. mandates:
- Annual anti-hazing workshops for all members and affiliates.
- Signed acknowledgment of the Sorority’s Anti-Hazing Policy during the affiliation process.
- Distribution of educational materials to all chapters on the consequences of hazing and its impact.
Prevention and Education
All chapters of Mu Delta Alpha Sorority Inc are required to comply with the following:
- State Laws: Each chapter must adhere to the hazing laws specific to their state, including any additional regulations enforced by local authorities.
- University Policies: Each chapter must abide by the hazing policies outlined by their host campus, ensuring alignment with institutional guidelines.

Hazing is defined as any intentional or reckless action, whether physical, mental, emotional, or psychological, that humiliates, degrades, abuses, or endangers an individual seeking membership in Mu Delta Alpha Sorority, Inc.™ This includes but is not limited to:
- Paddling in any form.
- Physical exercises resulting in excessive fatigue or exhaustion.
- Deprivation of normal sleep or rest.
- Acts that jeopardize physical or mental health.
- Public or private quests, stunts, or activities that humiliate or shame an individual.
- Late work sessions interfering with scholastic achievement.
- Acts of personal servitude.
