Mu Delta Alpha
Junior Leadership Academy
The Mu Delta Alpha Junior Leadership Academy follows the school year with Saturday afternoon leadership classes from 2:00-4:00 P.M. using accommodations at Richland College, educational fieldtrips around the DFW area, community building events that celebrate joy in excellence, community service opportunities, and one major trip per year. Our training culminates in a spring Summit with prestigious speakers, and a call to vision. Consistent participation is essential to provide peer to peer mentorship and affirmative student-led practice among girls ages 12-16.
Our hope is that girls will bond with Mu Delta Alpha Junior Leadership Academy as a support system through all four years of high school to build ambitious habits, a significant sense of personal identity, networking resources, scholarships, references, and a confident momentum to carry them into influential careers.
Nelson Mandela said, “If you want to change the world, help women.” Research backs him up. Empowered women are the most effective agents of change in a society. Mu Delta Alpha Junior Leadership Academy ultimately empowers women to help women, and that helps everyone. Girls will develop core connections to teacher role models, college students in Mu Delta Alpha Sorority, heroic community advocates, Mu Delta Alpha alumni, and the wonderful women who carry the legacy of Mu Delta Alpha.
$10 registration fee and $60 fee each month due at the 24th of the month. If a student misses 3 sessions in a row, they must reapply and pay another processing fee, since we have a waiting list. Students must attend at least 10 Saturday leadership classes in order to participate in all major trips so that trip participants will have an affirmative, bonding travel experience.
Please note the $60 monthly fee includes the regular Junior MDA Programs not the out of state or out of country trips.
